The charitable Family Rauch Foundation of the company MAHA is regularly committed to promoting social cohesion and inclusion. Over the past three months alone, it has provided targeted support amounting to a total of 51,550 euros to regional organisations – including THW Kempten, the Freie Schule Albris, and Lebenshilfe Kempten.
Haldenwang, 31st July 2025. The charitable Family Rauch Foundation, established by the late MAHA founder Winfried Rauch, has long been dedicated to helping people who find themselves in distress through no fault of their own. The presentation of the funding is always carried out personally by the Chairman of the non-profit Family Foundation and former District Administrator, Anton Klotz, who maintains direct contact with the institutions and ensures the Foundation’s efforts are publicly visible.
THW Kempten receives emergency vehicle worth 25,000 euros
The most recent donation, amounting to 25,000 euros, enabled the Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) in Kempten to purchase a new emergency response vehicle. The vehicle has been specially configured to meet the needs of the local THW branch and is suitable both for transporting personnel and for use in leadership and support functions during operations and training.
At the official handover, local THW representative Melanie Englisch stated: “This kind of support is by no means a given and stands as a strong signal of civic engagement and social responsibility.” Anton Klotz also emphasised the importance of THW’s work in the region: “THW Kempten has been providing indispensable services in disaster control for decades – far beyond the borders of the Allgaeu region in Bavaria.”
Mobility for Freie Schule Albris worth 25,000 euros
Just a few weeks earlier, the Freie Schule Albris in Buchenberg had already received a donation of the same amount. With 25,000 euros, the Foundation supported the purchase of a new disability transport vehicle featuring an integrated wheelchair ramp. The ceremonial handover took place during a school festival – in the presence of children, young people, staff, and guests.
The new vehicle will be used within the therapeutic education programme “FIONA – Freies Heilpaedagogikum Albris” and enables children, teenagers, and adults with limited mobility to be safely accompanied to therapy appointments, excursions or other important activities. “It is especially important to us to support institutions that actively live out the principles of inclusion and participation,” said Anton Klotz at the handover.
Lifeworld-related support for Lebenshilfe Kempten
In addition, the non-profit Family Rauch Foundation supported Lebenshilfe Kempten with a donation of 1,550 euros. The funds were used to purchase an electric bath lift and a low-profile bed for an assisted living community in Waltenhofen. These aids contribute significantly to the residents’ autonomy and quality of life.
