Automechanika Innovation Awards 2026 MAIA and MAST 2.0 nominated for renowned industry award

MAHA is among the nominees for the Automechanika Innovation Awards 2026. With MAIA and MAST 2.0, two product innovations from the workshop equipment specialist are competing for the renowned industry award. Both solutions demonstrate how MAHA is further developing the future of workshop and vehicle testing technology: more efficient, safer, and smarter.

Haldenwang, 28th July 2026. In September, Frankfurt will once again become the meeting place for the international automotive industry. The nominees for the Automechanika Innovation Awards 2026 will also be in the spotlight. With 185 submitted products and solutions, the renowned industry award has reached a new record this year.

With MAIA and MAST 2.0, two MAHA solutions are part of this selected group. Both address key challenges in modern vehicle testing and open up new possibilities for automated and realistic testing processes. “The nominations are a strong signal for us. They show that our developments are focusing exactly where the industry is moving,” says Dr Peter Geigle, CEO of the MAHA Group. “For MAHA, innovation is not an end in itself. What matters is that it results in solutions that offer our customers genuine added value in everyday use.”

Which of the nominated innovations will ultimately receive an award will be revealed at the start of Automechanika Frankfurt: the winners will be announced on 8 September 2026. During the trade fair, the nominated products will also be presented in a special showcase within the Innovation4Mobility area in Hall 3.0.

The nominated MAHA solutions
With MAIA and MAST 2.0, MAHA will present two functional prototypes from real-life pilot operation at Automechanika 2026. The nominated innovations show how automated and realistic vehicle testing could develop in the future.

MAIA, the autonomous assistant for workshops and testing organisations, inspects vehicles independently. In future, as part of a surface check, the system will perform full documentation of the vehicle condition during a single vehicle walk-around, including AI-supported damage assessment. In addition, further functions will follow to support light and axle checks, through to the calibration of modern driver assistance systems. The testing processes are carried out autonomously, precisely and with digital documentation.

MAST 2.0 is a function test stand for driver assistance systems. It enables ADAS functions such as emergency braking assistance, lane keeping assistance and adaptive cruise control to be tested under realistic conditions. A complex end-of-line test stand or a large-scale test track is not required for this.

MAHA at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026
From 8 to 12 September 2026, MAHA will present its trade fair appearance at Automechanika Frankfurt across an area of more than 1,300 square metres. The workshop equipment specialist will showcase a total of 14 innovations, a comprehensive service presence and new solutions for workshop and vehicle testing technology.

Visitors will find MAHA in hall 8.0 at stands C06 and C07.
