Thanks to a generous donation from the non-profit Family Rauch Foundation, the Lenzfried Volunteer Fire Department was able to acquire a new portable fire pump. This pump is primarily used to draw water from open sources – an indispensable function for many emergency operations in rural areas. The official handover of the equipment took place on Monday, 5 May 2025.

Haldenwang/Kempten, 21st May 2025. For many years, the non-profit Family Rauch Foundation, supported by MAHA Maschinenbau Haldenwang GmbH & Co. KG, has been committed to helping people whose protection and rescue from emergency situations take priority. This time, the Lenzfried Volunteer Fire Department benefited from this support. Despite solid equipment provided by the city of Kempten, the department had been relying on an additional portable fire pump.

The previous pump had been irreparably damaged during an operation and could not be replaced. Former fire chief Christian Briendl reached out to the private non-profit Family Rauch Foundation – and successfully so: the foundation pledged swift and unbureaucratic assistance.

With the 20,000 euros donation, a new TS 10-2000 model from Rosenbauer was purchased. With a delivery rate of around 2,000 liters per minute, it is one of the most powerful pumps in its class. It will now be used for firefighting operations in the rural areas of Lenzfried, throughout the city of Kempten, and in neighboring districts upon request.

Among those present at the official handover were Anton Klotz, former District Administrator and Head of the non-profit Family Rauch Foundation, and Dr. Peter Geigle, CEO of MAHA. Both emphasized the vital role of volunteer fire departments in public safety and expressed their satisfaction in being able to support the Lenzfried team with this important equipment.
